Oracle is ending the support on 31-Dec-2021 and the businesses want to upgrade from 12.1.3 to 12.2.9. Major challenges involved in this upgrade are related to the customizations of the existing applications and the training that would be provided to the end-user. Apart from these, the other challenges were integration with applications such as SOA, Demantra Application, Dataware house, OBIEE and ODAM services, and database migration to Exadata servers. Debut Infotech provided a proficient strategy for upgrade and migration, fixing the customizations.
Worked with several clients who wanted to upgrade from version 12.1.3 to 12.2.9. Debut Infotech provided the Project plan, technical upgrade, and also end-to-end testing for the upgrade strategy.
The challenges involved were customization in the existing applications, size of the database, upgrade of the database, and the application which was to be done within the minimum maintenance Service level Agreement.
After conducting a deep-dive assessment of the challenges, we started with the technical difficulties of the enterprise. We provided the upgrade strategy and testing strategy. In addition to this, we also upgraded the database and migrated it with data-guard to the Exadata server.
